I am a historian, auto-mechanic, costumer, amateur tailor and prop designer. I have always been into anime, art, and cosplay, but recently in the past two years have gotten back into it as a serious hobby. I have recently started to get back into costuming and going to conventions with AWA 2010 in Atlanta being my first real convention in over 6 years. My friend's call me "The Wicked Tailor" and like all cosplayers, Halloween is my favorite holiday and believe that dressing up shouldn't be limited to just one week a year! My Facebook costuming page is… so pop on over and give me a "Like" as this will be the site I update the most.

Do to unforeseen circumstances, I.E. unbearable reoccurring stomach pain caused by either my gall bladder, an ulcer or IBD, I won't be making AWA this year. I am hugely disappointed because I really wanted to enter my Steampunk Mad Hatter into this years costume contest. Guess it will have to wait till next year Before I can enter it into the contest. Right now, I am currently sitting in bed still suffering from the most recent 3 day long episode of stomach cramps (this is the 4th episode in the past month) and not being able to eat or even walk around with out serious doubling over pain. This all started about a month and a half ago when I thought I had gotten food poisoning and was laid up in bed for 4 days, unable to eat with terrible stomach pain. I knew it wasn't that when the exact same symptoms arose a week and a half later. There was no way I could have made the drive from Myrtle Beach, SC to Atlanta, GA, (nearly 6 hours) in my current condition although I did consider it many times. I hope all my friends have a good time this year and know that I will be wishing I was there ALL weekend long. My next con that I will be attending will be Teslacon in late November. Teslacon is consider the be the best Steampunk convention in the country and is very different from the typical "meet and greet then lets go to a panel" convention. It is a total immersion event filled with over 100 actors who's job is to make every guest feel like they are in the world of Steam, if only for a weekend. I was fortunate enough to be asked to write a script for one of the sketches that will be performed throughout the weekend....very exciting! Hopefully by then these "doctors" will figure out what is wrong with me and fix it so I can go about my daily business without fear that the cramping will start up again and prevent be from doing the simplest of tasks. Currently from when this all started to now I have lost a total of 20 pounds.....if I loose anymore I can guarantee my costumes will no longer fit!

I'm rather new to this idea of 'steampunk,' as they call it, but it looks cool.

How did you get so great at tailoring? Have you ever done a" pair of pants" as a commission? What's the most expensive commission you have done?
Challenger70TA Featured By Owner Feb 18, 2014
my grandmother was a seamstress and taught me how to sew at a very young age. I don't do costume commissions, only props because sewing something for someone else is too difficult unless they are right there with you.

Okay thanks that's really great.

Okay I understand you want perfection. But nice that you do props. Your very lucky to be taught and talented. Thanks for the response.
