Charleston Secessionists by Challenger70TA Charleston Secessionists by Challenger70TA
Summer and I got together again to lead the rebellion in Charleston once again...this time for the 150th Anniversary of the Firing on Fort Sumter. This particular photo was taken of us inside Fort Sumter on the exact time and day April 14th, 2:30 PM when the Union troops surrendered it to the Confederates. I think I have more people take picture of us in that one day than I had as Sebby during AWA. Our costumes were a hit with reenactors and tourists alike. We were even interviewed by both local news stations appeared on a Tokyo station that was broadcasting live.

Both of our costumes are 100% period correct. My uniform is modeled off of a Captain in the 10th South Carolina based out of Charleston during the Civil War. Summer's dress was entirely made by her and her mother, who is a long time Civil War re-enactor. Summer of course got the most attention because, well she is absolutely gorgeous and so was her dress. It was entirely made out of silk, had over 200 man hours in its creation and cost $800 dollars in materials ALONE.

This is the uniform that I use as my basis for my Steampunk character.
