Steampunk Confederate

Shot by (TheGreenestRose) at AWA 2010, this costume has been 5 years in the making. Originally I made this for Civil War reenacting, and then Halloween tours in the city of Charleston, SC...but recently I find it hard to resist the lure of "Steampunking" it. It is 100% historically accurate(minus the steampunk accessories of course), and is a Captains uniform modeled off of the 10th South Carolina Infantry "Bloody Tenth" that hailed from Charleston, SC during the Civil War. It has the state seal on the hat pin, belt buckle and even all of the buttons! Currently, I have made a set of goggles, and a custom Mauser style machine pistol for the costume...but a mechanical prosthetic hand is currently in the works and let me tell you, it is going to be amazing!
